Russia Launches Largest Air Barrage To Date on Ukraine

On November 26, Russian forces launched a record-braking attack on Ukraine, firing Iskander-M ballistic missiles from Voronezh and Kursk regions, alongside a record number of Shahed attack drones and unidentified UAVs.

The attack began at 7:30pm on November 25 and involved aerial strikes originating from Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk regions.

Ukraine’s Air Force reported tracking 192 airborne targets during the attack:

-4 Iskander-M ballistic missiles

-188 drones

To counter the assault, Ukraine deployed its air force, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, and mobile fire teams.

By 9:00 am, Ukrainian air defense had intercepted 76 drones across multiple regions, including Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Rivne, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Mykolaiv.

In addition, 95 UAVs were disrupted due to electronic warfare measures, with five drones retreating toward Belarus.

The attack caused damage to critical infrastructure and residential properties in several regions. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties or injuries. Authorities are continuing to assess the damage and update information.
